Things You Should Know

Here are a few things you should know about me as of recently:

I ate a chocolate covered potato chip today. New found love.
In 45 days from today I will marry my best friend.
I only work 4 days a week. This means that after every long weekend I'm dreading returning to the office. Yet I LOVE my job so once I'm happy.
I have the best friends in the world. I could literally call any of them at any time and get help. This includes my siblings. It's really quite nice to know that you have people that look out for you.
My mom is one of my best friends. I can literally talk to her for hours.
It may be snowy outside and I've been listening to Christmas music for the past few weeks, but I don't feel Christmasy at all. It's kind of depressing.
I don't get depressed.
I wish it were warm outside. I want to have a picnic and eat fresh fruit.
When I walk up and down the aisles in any store, I tend to reach out and touch whatever is on either side of me.
Caitlin graduated from college this weekend. We both now have Bachelor's degrees. Hers: Health Science. His: Communication.
Since I haven't gotten into an exercise routine with my new job, I do push-ups in my office and lunges between my office and other offices. The receptionist thinks I'm crazy.
I've started playing Words With Friends. It's the best time waster.
I'm finishing Moby Dick (unabridged) this week - even if it kills me. I'm in chapter 113 of 130.
I don't like getting out of bed if it's cold in my room. I'll hit snooze for hours to fight off the inevitable.
I'll be in San Diego for Christmas. The next time I visit Oregon, I'll be married.
I ate a Japanese pear today. Not worth it.

And those are a few things that you should know about my life lately.

An Office With A View

Yes, my new job is amazing.
Yes, I have my own office.
Yes, it's in the corner so I call it "time-out".
Yes, I've included pictures of my view and my three computers.
Yes, you should be jealous.

I work in both the business department and the administrative office. My office is in the admin office and is surrounded by empty offices. Basically I'm in solitary confinement. But I do go and visit my peeps at least a dozen times a day.
Perks of the new job:
  • I love the people I work with.
  • We work four 10-hour work days. 3-day weekend every week!
  • I get to design and have fun with my work.
  • My bosses are actually cool.
  • Every day is different. I'm never bored.
Basically I'm really loving life right now. I can't wait until Caitlin can join me down in Provo. It's a lonely place without a fiance.

Dear Blog...

Dear blogofmine,

I'm so sorry I've been neglecting you lately. I've been reallyultrasuper busy. What has been happening lately you ask? Well let's see:

I started a new job for a company called CR Foundation. It's like a real job. I even have business cards and my own office. Basically big kid stuff. Who would've thought I would maintain the appearance of an adult?

Since my new job is in Utah, I'm staying at my sisters house until I find my own place. This has been such a blessing since moving and starting has been stressful enough without having to secure housing last-minute. Plus it gives me time to play with my niece and nephew, even when my niece wants to do our hairs it is a lot of fun.
Caitlin and I are just about done with wedding plans. Only 60 more days to go! It's been insane trying to plan everything and get it ready. But it will be great to have it all done and finally be married. Caitlin graduates in 2 weeks, then she'll be off to California for January to finish planning everything. Hopefully that month will fly by faster than the past three.

What else has happened? Oh so much! But of course I'm back in a blogging mode so I'm sure I'll catch up on other sorts of things later. For now I just needed to begin so I could start some momentum. Get ready for lots more.
